Two completely different topics.
On the one hand, yum. Something to look forward to. On the other, a stupid titled most likely followed by a lovely rant. I said lovely, didn’t I? It’s a good rant, I promise.
So I’ve been waiting to try this “Adrenal Cocktail” that I keep seeing pop up all over my insta feed. The reason I haven’t tried it sooner is because I’m extremely judgmental towards smoothies. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because of my stubbornness from when I was little and my dad always made homemade smoothies and even though I wanted one, because it was my Dad, I had to say no. Stupid, really. Totally irrational. But that was me, age 14-18. I sucked as a teenager.
The other reason, which is slightly more logical. I want to eat something. Not drink something. I hate protein smoothies, I hate meal replacement smoothies. Because they’re posers…and I dislike fruits. Maybe that’s irrational, too….

Healthy people. I freakin’ love them. All of them. The annoying ones, the beefcakes, the planet-fitness’ers, the gallon guzzlers. I just do. I pass no judgement onto any of them and I HATE when others do. (See, I’m a saint…..jooookes.)
But for real. Its unfortunate, but most daily, when I’m at the gym I hear people belittle people on their fitness journey….and it kills me. It’s either, “their form sucks,” “what is that guy wearing?” -or- the comments on social media, stares, rumors … it happens. daily.
So, my short, but lovely rant goes like this:
There is nothing more unhealthy than a ‘healthy’ person speaking negatively of another’s journey to health.
Be helpful. Not hateful.
Ok, now what you really want:
- 1/4 cup frozen wild blueberries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 c cashew or almond milk
- 1/2 c cold water
- 1-2 tbs collagen
- 1/2 tbs cinnamon
- Dash of Him. Sea Salt
- Place liquids in a blender
- Top blueberries, banana, collagen, cinnamon and salt in the blender
- Blend on high until smooth
- Pour and enjoy
